The technique in the squat stays the same, but the mental prep is definitely different. With wraps you are loading a spring that helps you out of the hole. With sleeves, you need to prepare to fight right out of the hole as it does not give you that rebound effect that wraps do.
In my training I do my compound movement and then always do accessories after that compliment that compound movement. When I get closer to game day I drop off the accessories around 4 weeks out and only focus on the compound movement.
