Question: "Do you use weightlifting straps? And if so, when and how often should I be using them?"
I try to limit the amount of movements that I use weightlifting straps so that I can maintain a strong grip. I use a hook grip when deadlifting. This makes it difficult to train repetitions so I use straps when training multiple repetitions in the deadlift. I also will use straps when training power rack partial deadlifts so that the amount of weight that I use is not limited by my grip strength. I think that straps can be a great training tool, but don’t become dependent on them. ”If you can’t hang onto it you can’t pull it.”.
