MTI BioTech is pleased to announce that fitness model Jackie Haas has signed on to promote HMB.
Jackie has worked as a professional wrestler in the past and is currently transitioning into a more active role in the fitness industry.
Jackie has been involved in athletics all her life and always wanted to incorporate her active lifestyle into her career. She was involved in a variety of sports as a child. In college, Jackie competed in Division I athletics while running cross-country and track and field for the University of Toledo.
During her college years, Jackie became interested in weight training as a way to increase her speed and strength for running. Although professional wrestling wasn’t necessarily something Jackie imagined herself doing, the opportunity presented itself.
Jackie competed in MTV’s “Tough Enough 2” during 2001 and 2002. Although she tore her ACL during the taping of the show, she was named one of two winners of the competition and won a contract for WWE (World Wresting Entertainment).
Between 2002 and 2005, Jackie appeared in numerous WWE shows and events as “Miss Jackie.” She has also worked for Total Non-Stop Action Wresting (TNA) since ending her run with WWE.
Now, Jackie is turning her focus from the world of wrestling to the world of fitness. She is a certified personal trainer and is making appearances in fitness magazines, calendars, workout videos and more. Her studies in broadcast journalism throughout college have also come in handy as she writes for various fitness magazine publications along with being a columnist for Fitness Rx for Women. Her debut article will appear in the upcoming August 2008 issue, hitting newsstands in July.
Check back in a few weeks for an interview with Jackie where she’ll discuss her future fitness endeavors, the launch of her own fitness website, motherhood, her pro wrestling past and why she’s signed on to promote HMB.
