I’m continuing my off-season training schedule. I have been working on trying to plan out my year as far as competitions that I will be taking part in. This year is very busy for me, not only will I be competing but I am also assisting in promoting a bodybuilding show in Des Moines.
Training is going very well, started a hypertrophy program yesterday and I am already very sore. This program is designed to stack mass on your body. The program is designed to work with a specific muscle makeup, fast twitch or slow twitch. Depending on your muscle make up, that will designate what the parameters of the program are. I am mostly fast twitch so therefore I am working with high number of sets, very low reps and very limited rest in between sets. Yesterday my rest period was 10 seconds in between my sets, with working sets in the 2-4 rep range. Without HMB I don’t know if my body would be able to recover and take full advantage of this type of workout.
This will hopefully shock my system and generate some muscle confusion which of course will demand growth. Working out hard now and trying to plan out my year as far as competitions go.
