In the winter 2013 issue of UFC magazine is an article called Gaining an Edge. This article discusses the top 10 supplements that every serious athlete should consider taking. They break the supplements into three categories or tiers: The Foundation, Go Time, and Support. In Tier 1: The Foundation they list HMB as an important supplement to help aid in recovery, strength, power, and performance.
