Thanksgiving has just passed and I am reminded of how grateful I am for all the blessings in my life. Health and happiness is first and foremost and I encourage the same goal for all my clients. The gift of health allows for endless possibilities. One of them being the intense training I do that puts a smile on my face every time.
Now that the bikini competition season is over until next year, I can put even more focus on my Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu training. I love everything about my training which is obvious to my friends who often tell me that my face lights up whenever I talk about it. After coaching myself for bikini competitions, it has been a long time since I have been coached and on a team. Training in a group is very encouraging and comforting. Along with my coaches, so many people in class are willing to help and encourage me along the way.
At the same time, the challenge of learning two new sports is the best part. The fact that both Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu require extensive physical and mental capability keeps me very motivated. I now have that constant drive for skill improvement that I used to have from gymnastics that I miss so much.
I am currently taking as many classes as I can fit into my schedule in both Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu. I also have been weight training once a week to maintain my physique and increase my strength for fighting. Along with training, I have been assessing new poses for my competitions in 2013.
I’m very grateful for all of my athletic endeavors and the support I’ve gotten and continue to get throughout this process. Family, friends, fellow class members, and Team HMB give me the extra motivation for training. The HMB supplement itself keeps me strong for my numerous training sessions all week. My fellow Team HMB members are extremely kind and encouraging. I can’t express how much I appreciate their support to help me live my passion.
