As I plan my upcoming meets I find myself waiting excitedly for the month of November to pass. This is because the last two qualifying meets for the 2013 World Games and the 2013 Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic are being held that month, which determines if I will qualify for an invite to both. I believe the numbers I have put up this last year will get me to both but I won’t rest easy until I get the official word.
After the NAPF meet I was all set up to do a local meet here in November. This all changed when my wife and I bought a new house. Now everything is hectic and training has kind of taken a back seat. I have still been in the gym a few times a week but I’m the type of person if I’m not putting 100% in preparing for a meet, then I’m not going to do it.
During this time I have still been taking my HMB. I have lost a little bit of strength because I’m not training as frequent or hard but I believe the loss would be greater if it wasn’t for the HMB.
Since it looks like my 2012 powerlifting season is over, I have some lofty expectations for 2013. I am hoping to compete in the pro deadlift at the Arnold Classic, the 2013 USAPL Nationals and then the 2013 World Games. My goal for the Arnold Classic is an 840 pound deadlift and I’m hoping to creep a little closer to the 2300 pound total at Nationals and the World Games. My numbers have been steadily going up and I really feel HMB combined with supplements from 1st Phorm will help me reach my above goals.
I have my fingers crossed and will update everyone on the status of getting those two invites. I will also try to post some training videos as the meets get closer. Until then, continue to lift hard and smart which means adding HMB to your supplement list. You’ll be glad you did.
