You can lose fat and gain muscle at the same time. However, the process can be slow. Make sure you're getting enough protein (1.5g per pound of body weight), and focus on your pre and post-workout nutrition. Fuel your body with protein and carbs before and after you train. Train with intensity and intent. Focus on progressive overload, meaning you will increase the difficulty of the exercises as you get better at performing them. You can do this by lifting heavier, getting less rest between sets, or changing up your training splits. I also recommend supplementing with HMB and BetaTOR, as it will help you maintain training intensity, which can help you gain lean mass.
